ImpactEd for FE and Colleges

Colleges change lives. They open doors, power communities, and support over 1.6 million learners across England. At ImpactEd Group, we are proud to be expanding our focus to more deliberately include Further Education and Sixth Form Colleges, building on our experience of helping schools use evidence and insight to improve outcomes for young people.
To help lead this work, we are delighted to welcome Alex Warner as an Associate with ImpactEd Group.
Alex is an experienced executive leader in Further and Higher Education, with a career spanning teaching, senior management, and executive leadership. His journey from classroom teacher to senior leader gives him a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the sector.
Alongside leadership roles, Alex has served as a trained Ofsted Inspector and holds several non-executive positions across the sector. He brings a research-informed, system-level perspective to education improvement – analysing organisational performance, evaluating curriculum effectiveness, and identifying the kinds of strategic interventions that make a real difference.
Crucially, Alex’s work has always been underpinned by values that resonate with our own at ImpactEd: a commitment to equity, evidence, and system leadership. He is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and believes that a fairer and more sustainable education system depends on listening to those working in it every day.
Alex’s appointment as an Associate marks the beginning of a new chapter for our work with further education. In the coming months, we will be sharing more about how ImpactEd Group will support FE and Sixth Form Colleges – including new research initiatives shaped by the sector.
For now, we are thrilled to welcome Alex on board, and look forward to the impact his expertise will bring as we work together to ensure that the contribution of colleges is recognised, celebrated, and strengthened.
